报告题目：Essential developments of Birkhoff-Pierce Problem on the existence of lattice-orders on the complex field

报告摘要：Artin and Schreier showed that there is no linear orders on complex field C that is similar as the one on real field R in 1926. In 1956, Birkhoff and Pierce posed a pair of open questions: whether the R can be given a non-trivial lattice order, and whether the C can be lattice-ordered? The first half question has been solved 20 years later by R. R. Wilson in a paper published in Pacific Journal of Mathematics. The other half has not yet been solved. In this talk we will review some essential developments on this open question.

报告人简介

杨义川，北京航空航天大学教授，博导，国家级教学成果奖牵头人，国家级一流课程负责人，北京市教学名师，宝钢优秀教师，教育部基础学科拔尖人才培养优秀导师，Soft Computing和《高等数学研究》编委，教育部大学数学教指委委员，教育数学专委会副秘书长，北京高教学会数学研究分会副理事长和经济数学分会副主任。1994年毕业于bat365在线平台官网登录，1997年毕业于北京工业大学，2006年毕业于斯图加特大学，2010年破格晋升北航教授，2014年-2021年管理北航数学本科并带领学院获得国家级教学成果奖、国家级一流课程6门、国家级一流专业3个、国家级教学名师2名、入选拔尖计划和强基计划等成绩。科研上解决了系列数学公开问题，合作创立的量子B代数理论统一了非交换逻辑代数，已有多个国家的学者后继研究和发展，成为了逻辑代数研究的国际热点，“量子B代数”已入选国家自然科学基金关键词。
